A long time ago, back in the early 1990’s, Ian Tait was teaching CIPS at two public sector institutions in London, and he wondered why it was so difficult to deliver good quality teaching, with the support of good quality tutors, in a clean, pleasant, safe environment. Ian spent a lot of his time explaining student complaints to senior managers who didn’t seem too interested.
Ian wrote to CIPS seeking approval to open his own private sector education facility in Croydon, but at that time CIPS did not licence and support private sector learning establishments.
As time went by, Ian was invited to undertake more and more private consultancy work, mostly overseas, in the procurement sector, and in 1995 Ian set up his own procurement consultancy practice. For the next 12 years, Ian’s life involved aeroplanes, airports and large international organisations.
In 2008, he asked the question again of CIPS: ‘Will you licence me to run a CIPS Study Centre in Croydon?’ and this time the answer was ‘Yes’. The rest is history.
We are now a CIPS Study Centre of Excellence, delivering, we think, good quality teaching, with the support of good quality tutors, in a clean, pleasant, safe environment at East Croydon and London Bridge.
Most of our business now comes from word-of-mouth recommendations.
